EN 301 549 PDF check
Check PDFs against the EN 301 549 profile — the standard behind the European Accessibility Act.
What it checks
- The EN 301 549 profile, mapped onto the determinable WCAG/PDF-UA criteria for documents
- Per-criterion Supports / Does not support / Not evaluated results
- The same honesty gates as every accessibility check: untagged or indeterminate documents are never reported as supporting structure criteria
FAQ
What is EN 301 549?
The European accessibility standard for ICT products and services. For documents it references WCAG success criteria — which is what Preflight evaluates, per criterion, on the file itself.
Does the European Accessibility Act cover PDFs?
The EAA (applying since 28 June 2025) covers many consumer-facing services whose deliverables include documents — statements and contracts among them. Whether a specific document is in scope is a legal determination; the per-criterion evidence is what Preflight provides.
What happens to my documents?
Uploads are tenant-scoped, encrypted at rest, and anonymous uploads auto-purge within 24 hours. Result pages are token-gated and never indexed.
